Maine Media Workshops + College educates and inspires visual artists and storytellers to achieve their creative potential. Students in this class must have a solid understanding of the digital color grading workflow from initial Resolve setup and color theory to node structures and delivery, as well as color management, file structure, and calibration for broadcast-quality standards. Professional colorists will lead the instruction and will guide the students through assignments while providing valuable feedback on their grades and their workflow. The primary focus is to maximize the image quality of the digital negative while creating looks that support the story and visual style of the project. Utilizing a workshop atmosphere in combination with lectures, demonstrations, and assignments, students will work with footage from different projects including a wide variety of formats, codecs, and picture profiles. The class will be an introduction to advanced digital workflows using DaVinci Resolve. Note: This class will be held in a live, online format using the Zoom Platform.
